Magaluf is a holiday resort on the island of Majorca in Spain very popular with the British and Scandinavian package holiday market. Magaluf is part of Calvià and is located within a group of towns, primarily Torrenova and Palma Nova. The main airport of is about 25km from Magaluf near to Palma Majorca.
The Maglauf resort comprises three beaches, popular for their white sands: Majorca Beach, Magaluf Beach and Palma Nova Beach, small bars and shops line the beaches which are backed by hotels. The resort is very popular with young parties especially in the peak season of July and August. The winter season (November through March) is very quiet and the population of Magaluf dips to a mere 100 or 200 locals residents, with most, of the hotels closing their doors for winter. Next to Magaluf is Palma Nova which is more popular with families.
